Spain is a country and it is located in Europe. It became a super power and the strongest country in Europe in 16th century. Geographically, Spain has been stated as the world’s 51st biggest country. The capital of Spain is Madrid and also the largest city.

Since 22 November 1975, Juan Carlos is the king of the state. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero was elected as the prime minister of Spain on March 14, 2004. Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba and Elena Salgado are first and second vice president of the state respectively.

Its official language is Spanish but there are 3 other regional languages, which have also been stated, official, they are:

  • Basque
  • Catalan
  • Galician

According to an estimate, by 2010, Spain’s population has grown up to 45,957,671.Spain is the 27th largest country by population. 87.8% people living in Spain are Spanish, while the rest 12.2% are Romanian, Germans, Ecuadorians, Moroccan and British.

In Spain, the Education has been set compulsory from the age of 6 to 16. Educational law of 1990 made this whole current education system. Roman Catholicism is not the official but the main religion of Spain. It has not been stated official by the law. It’s totally up to the students to choose either religion or ethics in schools. In some school Catholic is officially taught as a religion.

Spain has a huge economy, making it the 9th largest in economy world widely. In Europe, it is at number 5 spot on economy basis.
